Wait. How on earth is that gal doing that in the second picture? She be strong or something. Wow.

One foot on the doorknob, arm supporting as much of her weight as she can over the top of the door. I expect she used a chair or something to get up, and the photographer removed it while shooting.

Makes me think of all those Japanese ghost/horror stories where the spirit is emerging from/attached to the ceiling at weird angles.
