I forget now if it was Giancarlo Volpe or Jim Krieg who said this while sitting next to me at the DC Nation Burbank meetup for a brief minute on Saturday (March 9th), and I thought it was a really accurate description of what happened, and what I hope to see happen again this weekend.
Yes, the show is ending. Rather than a silent mourning though, the meetup was full of cheers and excitement and just generally a celebration of what the show is (was). There was some sadness, and of course feels during the episode, but mostly it was celebrating the existence of the show and what it means to the fans. Celebrating it’s “life”, and that makes me very happy.
Regardless of whether the show can be renewed or not, it’s clear it has touched lives in such a great and positive way and has garnered such love and passion for these characters and their story — and that is impressive.

It was great meeting you too! I’m really grateful that you took time out of your weekend to visit, especially with the baseball tryouts to compete with! Thank you so much.
I’m planning to make time to come up again for the season finale (ep 26) for certain, and hoping I can possibly manage episode 25 too. I’m going to attempt to have at least one plush to give away at the finale too. If I see you there, I’d love to take a photo together.
