Looking at old faved posts, I came across multiple posts with the same image. A boring generic image that I would not have faved, and certainly would not have faved multiple times. Slowly, I realized that many images that were once screencaps of forums (the source links often go to dead 4chan links) ragging on XBox One’s un-enticing initial product information have largely (if not all) been replaced with a generic image of an XBox One against a green background.
Like many older posts that you occasionally run across having the image removed and replaced with the generic grey “violated the Terms of Service” image, but slightly horrifying — because this is removing instances of legitimate criticism and/or things that likely fall under fair use or parody and replacing them with an advertisement for the thing being criticized.
